Hi, I am
I'm a software engineer with years of experience working across a wide range of products. I love technology! And I especially love learning new things.
Most recently I've been working at TaxBit, building software that enables the future of cryptocurrency tax reporting and accounting for enterprises and governments. I'm currently the longest tenured employee at the company, and have been a part of intense growth between 6 and over 200 people. I've worked on a wide range of projects, and have been instrumental in getting the company to the position it's in today.
While at TaxBit, I've also had the opportunity to work with many different technologies, learning a lot along the way. While the primary development stack is TypeScript and Python, we've had a few projects written in Clojure and Rust. I've gained extensive experience with AWS, building numerous scalable services on top of their platform.
Outside of work, I'm a husband to a beautiful wife and father of two beautiful little kids. Our dream is to have a homestead in rural south-western Virginia, where we can raise our kids with a love for the outdoors and a strong work ethic. I have lots of interests outside of work. I love to go rock climbing and have a dream to one day climb some of the most compelling peaks in the Alps, like the Eiger and the Matterhorn. I love finding time to go climbing in the mountains Utah with my best friend, Romney, and my family.
I also enjoy building and creating things. I love woodworking, welding, and general craftsmanship. I'm currently working on welding a beautiful garden gate, and building a hardwood hutch from Maple. I have a dream to one day build my own home on our land.
